There are many ways to access the beauty of the Sounds from the water. You could choose to make your way to the Lodge by combining a cruise and transfer with Pelorus Mail Boat. Otherwise you can hire a yacht for a couple of hours, or days; take a cruise around the Kenepuru Sound and hear about the history of the area, and visit some mussel farms; take a fishing trip with some of the Sounds most experienced fishermen, and it’s all on the doorstep of Raetihi Lodge.
Cruising the Marlborough Sounds’ tranquil waterways is a stunning experience. There are many different options available, including water taxis, mussel cruises, scenic cruises, wine and food cruises, yachting, eco tours, fishing trips and cruises to the outer sounds.
